The St. John Paul II Life Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a three-fold mission:
- Provide OB-GYN care that aligns with Catholic ERDs
- Offer Crisis Pregnancy services
- Provide education
Thankfully, there are many crisis pregnancy centers in Central Texas. There are four NaProTECHNOLOGY clinics in the state of Texas. But St. John Paul II Life Center is the only center we know of in the nation that addresses all three critical areas under one roof.
Kim comes to St. John Paul II Life Center with twenty years of award-winning healthcare, corporate and academic experience. Her passion for protecting women and babies from abortion extends to graduate school where she researched press coverage of abortion. She’s taken hotline calls for women facing unexpected pregnancies and has spoken at the Texas Rally for Life and Governor Rick Perry’s press conference endorsing the “Choose Life” license plates. As a former adjunct college professor, Kim appreciates St. JPII Life Center’s dedication to education. As a woman who struggled with infertility for 15 years, she knows the value of the Vitae Clinic’s cutting-edge NaProTECHNOLOGY. And, as an adoptive mother, she experiences the beauty of life and the heroism of birth parents through her son and his birth mom.
Maria joined the St. John Paul II Life Center after spending 10 years working for Fortune 500 companies in a variety of business management, marketing, and engineering positions, and 9 years as co-owner of a small business. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Maria has always had a passion for protecting babies in the womb and co-founded Stanford Students for Life, which is still thriving after 20 years. She cherishes her Catholic faith, as well as her husband and four young children. Maria is thrilled to be part of an organization that is dedicated to bringing about a culture of life through education, medical, and material support of women in need.
Sandra is from Mexico City where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Languages. She came to the United States to participate in the Walt Disney College program and met her husband of 28 years while working at the EPCOT Center. She worked for a number of different companies, and always made sure that her schedule would allow her to take care of her family’s needs. When her youngest of three sons moved to junior high, Sandra decided to come to St. John Paul II Life Center. Her joyful demeanor and ability to speak fluently in several different languages helps her connect with women from all walks of life. Sandra manages all crisis pregnancy volunteers and programs including client advocates, spiritual companions, pregnancy classes, and “Gianna’s Closet,” which provides material support to clients.
Since moving to Austin in 2008, Debbie has managed fundraising events for several Pro-Life organizations. In addition, she worked for nine years at one of Houston’s largest Pregnancy Resource Centers where she counseled women and handled the center’s fundraising and event planning needs. “I know that God has called me to this ministry to use my gifts to give women help and hope. I feel privileged to work alongside each person at St. JPII Life Center as we fight for Life!”
