St. John Paul II Life Center offers two types of education: pregnancy and community.
Pregnancy education is offered at our Center and is open to pregnant clients and patients along with their family. Classes, which are available in English and Spanish, enable clients to earn points for new items they’ll need for their babies. Click here to see our Calendar of Education Classes.
Some of our regular programs include:
A Glimpse Inside. There can be no denying the humanity of an unborn child when you see him dancing in the womb, sucking her thumb, or waving at you! This program features a live sonogram of a pregnant woman (who has given consent).
Beloved. This program is based on Pope St. John Paul II’s “feminine genius” and is co-sponsored with the Dominican Sisters of Mary. The program begins with a general session about the dignity of being a daughter of God and then breaks into four segments including junior high girls, high school girls, single adult women, and married adult women. The cost is $10 per person.
Blossom. This program provides mothers of pre-pubescent girls the tools they’ll need to discuss their daughters’ blossoming fertility in science, faith, and love. Because we believe sex conversations are best had between parents and their children, this class is only available to mothers. The cost is $10 and includes lunch and all materials.
Embrace. To help African American women realize the impact abortion is having on their community, St. JPII Life Center helped initiate this program offered by African American women. Click here for updates and current information.
Library. Our library features books, CDs, and videos about pro-life issues, NaProTECHNOLOGY, Theology of the Body, and Catholic saints. The library is contained within the Chapel on site.
NaPro & NFP Education. We work with Austin FertilityCare Center to provide ongoing programs about Natural Family Planning, specifically NaProTECHNOLOGY. Click here for information or to attend a program.
New Sexual Revolution. This program introduces a new way of thinking about sexuality from a holistic approach that empowers women to understand the gift of their fertility.
Priests’ Appreciation Dinner. This annual dinner, co-sponsored with Cook-Walden Funeral Homes and Cemeteries has a two-fold objective: 1) to appreciate the amazing men of God who serve the Diocese of Austin, 2) to educate our priests about NaProTECHNOLOGY and the St. John Paul II Life Center so they can provide our Center as a resource to their parishioners.
St. John Paul II Life Center Overview. To introduce our community to our mission, we are happy to give a 15-minute or 60-minute overview of our Center to churches, schools, or other community groups.
Theology of the Body. To develop a greater appreciation and understanding of God’s plan for our sexuality, we offer Theology of the Body programs on site through the Diocese of Austin.
Tours. St. JPII Life Center is the only place we know of in the nation that provides full-service OB-GYN health care, crisis pregnancy center and education under the same roof. Most do not realize the impact our center has until they’ve toured. Tours are available for groups or individuals.
